With 46,500 students on a nine square mile campus, Texas A&M University is one of the largest academic institutions in the United States. BGK created the framework for the new West Campus Complex, which was intended to house 4,000 students. The goal was to provide on-campus housing to all first-year students with a world-class, village-like home. The new community was organized around at vibrant "social heart" know as the Commons Building which contains student dining, lounge spaces, meeting rooms, student services, and convenience store, the community learning center, and res life offices.
